Assessment Process & Key Dates
Our application process is designed to be an effective and efficient means of identifying the candidates who can help us build on our successes and enjoy a long, successful career with our firm. We use a dedicated online application system, enabling you to complete and send your form to us for assessment.
When to apply
Vacation scheme placements are available to penultimate and final year degree students who are on course for at least a 2.1 (or equivalent) and are looking to secure a training contract with us two years in advance. Your pre-university studies should also reflect this high standard of achievement. You should be fluent in English as well as Cantonese and/or Mandarin, with the ability to read and write Chinese.

If you are successfully invited to attend an interview, there will be a two hour assessment which comprises of the following:
- Main interview with a member of the Human Resources team and an Associate/Managing Associate
- Mandarin assessment with one of our trainee solicitors (if applicable)
- English written exercise
- English to Chinese translation exercise (if applicable)
Following a first round interview you will be invited to attend a short interview with one of our Graduate Recruitment Partners.
