Routes to qualification
Our structured programme of training and practical experience provides all kinds of opportunities for you to develop your skills and expertise, from the very moment you join us.
Training and qualification
Candidates who have completed either a law or a non law degree are welcome to apply for a training contract with us. If you have studied a non law degree, you will also need to pass the Common Professional Examinations (CPE or GDL) in either Hong Kong or England & Wales. Prior to your training contract, you will need to complete the Post Graduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL). It is also worth noting that changes to the admission requirements of the PCLL may require certain students to undertake Conversion Examinations before being eligible to sit the PCLL. Students should contact the PCLL Conversion Board to obtain more information.
On joining us, you will participate in an induction programme, which is designed to help ensure your smooth transition into your new role, while giving you a practical introduction to the basic skills needed at this stage in your career.
After your induction you will begin the first seat of your training contract. From day one, you will be a key member of our team, working alongside other lawyers, gaining knowledge in various practice areas and dealing with our clients. Throughout your two years as a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in four different areas of our business, before qualifying as a solicitor.
