Winter Vacation Scheme

Our one week winter vacation scheme is designed to give you a valuable insight into Simmons & Simmons and the commercial environment in which we operate.

You'll be supervised by one of our partners or associates and will get involved in real life work from day one, which could mean everything from research to drafting to departmental training and meetings. We'll match you up with one of our current trainees to help you settle in quickly.

We also run a full programme of information events, skills sessions and social events so you will be sure to be busy.

You’ll receive £300 at the end of your placement.

Application process

Applications open: 01 October - 01 November 2016.

The scheme is one week long and takes place from 12 - 16 December 2016.

Please note that we fill our roles on a first come, first served basis so we strongly recommend you apply early to avoid disappointment.

Our winter vacation scheme is designed for all final year students and graduates.

What our interns said:

“My week at Simmons & Simmons gave me a fantastic insight into day to day life at the firm. The IP team were welcoming and always more than willing to answer my questions and assign me challenging tasks. I was lucky enough to attend court and client meetings and had great exposure to the culture of the firm through social events.” Charlotte, Winter 2015/16 intern

“Simmons & Simmons' winter vacation scheme helped me to determine that a legal career was right for me. What stood out most was everyone's openness and genuine enthusiasm for Simmons; partners, trainees and the graduate recruitment team alike. No questions were left unanswered, which is all you can ask for when making a decision regarding your career.” Michal, Winter 2015/16 intern

"My supervisor and trainee buddy were incredibly welcoming and supportive and I really felt part of the team. The events put on during the week gave me plenty of opportunities to talk to trainees and lawyers in different departments and understand the unique culture of the firm. It was a really fun and enjoyable week that I would highly recommend." Jane, Winter 2015/16 intern
